Webb tries his hand at Marshalling

BRDC Superstar Oliver Webb tried his hand at Marshalling last week at Silverstone race circuit.
He joined a marshalling day put together that trains and improves some of the aspects and techniques that a track side marshal has to know. During the day Oli had a go at Fire marshalling where a car was filled with fuel and set alight! Although the day was littered with banter between the Marshalls and Oli it was very educational. Sit down class sessions where taught on flag marshalling as well as learning the disciplines that go with it.
The MSA Elite driver commented “ It was a great day and i very much enjoyed getting to know everyone and having the orange overalls on myself to get to know what it is like on the other side of the fence, probably more dangerous than being in the car it seems!”
