Following some extensive seat time in the new ByKolles LMP1 car during a successful pre-season testing period, this weekend marks for Oli the return of the FIA World Endurance Championship with Silverstone hosting the 6-hour curtain raiser.  The race offers the Cheshire based star the enviable opportunity to race in front of a passionate home crowd.

“To go out on track this weekend in front of a British crowd is a huge thrill, I can’t wait.  it’s been a long journey to reach the LMP1 category and the culmination of a lot of hard work.”

Oli’s ByKolles team don’t have the financial clout of the top factory teams but hopes are nevertheless high for the opening round.

Oli continued, “It’s going to be a challenge to get near the pace of the factory teams but we showed good performance in Paul Ricard and with some significant upgrades planned for this weekend we’re hoping to close the gap even further”.

Free Practice 1 kicks off at 12:15 on Friday, qualifying at 12:20 on Saturday and the 6 Hours of Silverstone gets underway at 12.00 on Sunday.
