Fortec Motorsport Ltd was established in 1996 by Richard Dutton.
It was originally based in Grantham, Lincolnshire before moving to it's current location in Daventry in 1999.
The team has competed in a number of high-profile championships including Formula 3, Formula 3000, Formula Renault, Formula BMW and more recently World Series by Renault.
Fortec Motorsport has achieved successes including pole positions, fastest laps, race wins, & driver and team championships

2006 - Winners of the Formula Renault UK Drivers Championship with Sebastian Hohenthal and the Formula Renault UK Graduate Cup with Fabio Onidi. Winners of the Formula BMW UK Drivers Championship with Niall Breen and Formula BMW UK Rookie Cup with Henry Arundel. Winners of the Formula Renault UK Teams Championship and Formula BMW UK Team Trophy. 4th in British Formula 3 International Series with Yelmer Buurman.
2005 - 3rd in British Formula 3 International Series with Mike Conway. 2nd in Formula BMW UK Drivers Championship with Sam Bird and Winners of the Formula BMW UK Team Trophy. 4th, 5th, and 6th in Formula Renault UK Championship with Sebastian Hohenthal, Yelmer Buurman, and Stuart Hall.
2004 - 1st in Formula Renault UK Championship with Mike Conway, 1st in Formula Renault UK Winter Series with Stuart Hall, 3rd in British F3 Championship with James Rossiter, & 5th and 6th in Formula BMW UK Championship with Stian Sorlie & James Sutton
2003 - 3rd and 5th in Formula Renault UK Championship with James Rossiter & Mike Conway.
2002 - 1st and 2nd in Formula Renault UK Championship with Danny Watts and Jamie Green. 3rd in British F3 Championship & 2nd at Macau GP with Heikki Kovalainen, 1st at Marlboro Masters of F3 with Fabio Carbone, both as part of the Renault Driver Development Programme.
2001 - 4th in Formula Renault UK Championship with Heikki Kovalainen.
2000 - Contested the International Formula 3000 Championship with Mario Haberfeld & Andreas Scheld, and the British F3 Championship with Michael Bentwood & Gianmaria Bruni.
1999 - 4th and 5th in the British F3 Championship with Kristian Kolby & Matthew Davies.
